If you generate chemical waste please collect it in a safe location and label all containers clearly with waste labels supplied by the Environmental Health and Safety Office.

For any Chemical Waste or Lab/Teaching Biological Sharps Containers:

Complete an online Hazardous Waste/Surplus Chemical Collection Request .

After the Environmental Health and Safety office receives your waste collection form, Environmental Health and Safety staff from our department will remove it to a safe location.

The Environmental Health and Safety office collects all used batteries which are work-related, such as from a two-way radio or university equipment. They are recycled as part of the chemical waste program.

Batteries which are from personal use, such as a personal calculator, may be deposited for recycling at the Bookstore.
